Babcock selects AC70 for WAAS

In early May 2016, Bucher Leichtbau successfully secured another major client for the innovative AC70 HEMS equipment, which comprises a full Aeromedical interior including  stretcher, seating, brackets, medical gases and electrical outlets and cabinets. Babcock Mission Critical Services Onshore, an affiliate of Babcock International Group, placed their first order with Bucher for equipping three H145 helicopters. The Airbus helicopters will be operated by Babcock on behalf of the Wales Air Ambulance charity (WAAS). Stationed in Wales, the three air ambulance helicopters will be used by the charity to respond to all kinds of emergencies. The HEMS equipment will be fully installed at Babcock’s premise at Staverton Airport in Gloucestershire, England.

Bucher Leichtbau is delighted to have been selected by Babcock for this work. Thanks to Bucher’s comprehensive services, Babcock will be able to operate the helicopters to their fullest potential, and also offer excellent clinical support to WAAS .
